WSG STAR DRAW information, terms and conditions

The WSG STAR DRAW is a lottery which costs £5 per entry, per month to be in with the chance to win a cash prize… with enough participants, the prize is up to £250! 

£5 per month; that’s less than 20p per day… But if we have 50 entries each month, it would generate £1500 in a year for our school! 

Just £5 per entry, but you can enter as many times as you like! We want to get everyone involved, so spread the word to Grandparents, Uncles, Aunties, Godparents and friends.  If we have 100 entries per month then we would raise £3000 per year for our school! 

The more entries we have, the greater the prize pot AND the more money we raise, with all proceeds directly benefiting the children at our beautiful village school. The draw will provide a vital fund to help towards paying for the ongoing maintenance of school buildings as well as other expenditure that the school budget cannot cover, including significant capital projects which enhance the provision of the school facilities. 

How to join

Please refer to Confirmations below to confirm eligibility.

Then set up a Standing Order to the account below. Please include a reference of first initial and surname. A single entry costs £5 per month. There is no limit to the number of times you can enter; simply multiply £5 by the number of entries you wish to make.

Lastly email stardraw@wsgprimary.uk, providing your full name, email address, and phone number along with your standing order details including reference and/or name on account, number of entries and recurring payment date.

That’s it! Then all you have to do is sit back and keep fingers crossed that you’ll be one of the lucky winners!

How to amend or withdraw your entries from the lottery

To change the number of entries or other details such as payment account, please email stardraw@wsgprimary.uk to provide details of the amendment - including the month in which the amendment will take effect. Then update your Standing Order accordingly.

To remove yourself from the lottery, please email stardraw@wsgprimary.uk indicating the month in which your final entry will occur. Then update or cancel your Standing Order accordingly. 

Mechanics of the Draw

Each entry will be assigned a number, which will carry forward into subsequent draws providing payment is received each month.

Payment must be received on or before the final day of the month to be included in that month’s draw. The draw will take place in the first week of the following month. For example, payments for the January draw must be received between the 1st and 31st of January, and the draw itself will occur during the first week of February.

The winning number(s) will be selected randomly in the presence of at least one member of The Star Draw committee plus a witness.

The winner(s) will be notified by email after the draw and will receive their prize via bank transfer to a U.K. bank account.

The draw participants will be e-mailed with the identity of the winner(s) and the prize amount(s). 

Prizes

The prizes will depend upon the number of entries as outlined below.

Confirmations

By entering the draw the participants in the draw agree that:

• They are aged 16 or over;
• They will abide by the results of each Draw;
• That entries will not be included if the subscription is not paid;
• That the Draw is not responsible for any failure in the banking system that leads to subscriptions failing to be received into The Draw account;
• That subscription payments will not be refunded in the event that there are less than 10 players;
• That they will not receive advance notification of changes to the number of entries and therefore the prize pot; 
• That subscription payments will not be refunded after the draw for which they are paid, for any reason;
• That they will keep their contact details, including e-mail and phone number, up to date in order to receive all communications relating to The Draw;
• That should they be a winner, that their name and prize amount will be sent via email to all current lottery participants and may be sent to the WSG community in communications including the school’s weekly newsletter or other communications promoting The Draw; 
• These terms and conditions may be amended at any time, but substantial amendments will be communicated by e-mail to all participants.

Privacy

By entering the Star Draw, you give us permission to hold the following personal data:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number

This information is held solely for the purpose of running the Star Draw, and is not used for any other reason.

Should you leave the Star Draw: If you have won any prizes, your name and contact details will be retained so that we are able to meet our lottery obligations. Otherwise these personal details will be deleted.

The WSG Star Draw is covered by Waverley Licencing Authority, licence number 2016/75.
